Passivhaus experts including Mark Elton, Lynne Sullivan, Jonathan Hines join the Passivhaus Trust at Ecobuild

Following its successful launch at the UK Passivhaus conference last year, the Passivhaus Trust – the front line of Passivhaus promotion in the UK, will be at Ecobuild next month.

The Passivhaus Trust will be at stand N32 at Eco-build located near the SIPS Passive house. Leading UK Passivhaus Experts including Mark Elton of ECD Architects, Lynne Sullivan of Sustainable by Design, Jonathan Hines of Architype, Chris Herring of the Passivhaus Trust (and Green Building Store – builders of the Denby Dale Passivhaus) and Nick Grant of the Passivhaus Trust will be at the Passivhaus Trust stand to talk to people about the Passivhaus standard and its application and dispel any myths that may be associated with it.

The Passivhaus Trust is also running a fringe event at Eco-build. The session titled 'Driving Passivhaus delivery in the UK', chaired by Chris Herring of the Passivhaus Trust, will introduce the Passivhaus Standard and explain the benefits of its use in the UK. A panel of experts, including David Strong, Jonathan Hines and Sally Godber, will address a series of questions about why the Passivhaus Standard works well in the UK. This event will take place on Tuesday 1st March at 11.00 in the north gallery 9.

The Passivhaus Trust is affiliated with the Passivhaus Institut in Germany via the International Passive House Association (iPHA), and is a not-for-profit organisation which will focus on research, education and policy campaigns around the application of Passivhaus in the UK.

Membership is open to any organisation with an interest in Passivhaus, and includes free membership of the iPHA and access to its Passipedia database, as well as discounts on training, promotion of projects and involvement in the Trust’s working groups.
