Kirsten Priebe and Mark Elton speak at Energy Efficiency in Residential Buildings conference in London

Passivhaus Trust’s Kirsten Priebe and Founder member’s Mark Elton of ECD Architects spoke about the Standards and Examples of British PassivHaus Projects on Tuesday 17th May 2011 at a one-day conference focusing on Energy Efficiency in Residential Buildings in London, organized by the German-British Chamber of Industry & Commerce. The conference aimed to bring together high level experts and companies from the UK and Germany to share experiences and discuss potential developments in a British-German context.

Topics that were discussed included market development, the future of Passive Houses, carbon neutral housing, the development of energy efficient products for old housing stock and the legal drivers in residential energy efficiency. The conference was sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and as part of the energy efficiency export initiative, German companies also presented their technologies and know-how in this area.
