WonKy is the partnership of Wai-Piu Wong and Lefkos Kyriacou (Certified Passivhaus Designer) with over 30 years collective experience in practice. The directors have taught extensively at universities and schools and been involved in architectural research and publications. WonKy considers the role of architecture and design in the context of broader societal issues to address problems and find opportunities to create projects that can deliver a significant impact. The practice undertakes research to inform and underpin their projects with an emphasis on the city and urban issues, with people first. I’m a Certified Passivhaus Designer and RIBA Chartered Architect living and working on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. After a short stint with a commercial practice in Manchester, I started my solo practice when I moved here in 2010, with my growing family. Most of my work is based in Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy and Snowdonia. I work with many clients and their projects including residential new-build, extensions, alterations, community projects, listed buildings and conservation projects. I have a driven desire to reduce our environmental impact through the efficient use of space and materials, applying these principles to each of my projects. My first complete Passivhaus build will be my own – as I embark on designing a self-build coastal property for my large family
