Passivhaus projects shortlisted for RIBA Regional Awards 2018
RIBA’s annual regional awards shortlists have just been announced, and among the finalists are three Passivhaus projects.
The RIBA East shortlist of 19 projects includes The Deerings, a detached Passivhaus in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. It’s a joint project by PHT member Gresford Architects, who developed the scheme through design and construction, and Nicolas Tye Architects, who prepared initial plans and secured planning consent.

The first Passivhaus building for the University of Oxford, Kellogg College Hub, is in the running for the RIBA South Awards along with 11 others. An informal space for students and staff, it was certified in May last year. PHT member CBG Consultants were the Passivhaus and M&E consultants on the project.
