Scottish schools lead the way!

Hot on the heels of the hugely successful UK Passivhaus Conference 2023, where over 600 delegates came together to discuss all things Passivhaus we find out more about the ever increasing number of educational facilities adopting the standard throughout Scotland.

Patrick Harvie MSP shared the progress the Scottish Government has made with the Scottish equivalent to the Passivhaus standard, and met the pioneering local authorities already embracing the reliable building performance, energy savings, and numerous other benefits Passivhaus can bring to educational projects.

The Passivhaus standard encourages the design and construction of low energy buildings. This is about delivering high quality, low energy and healthy buildings for people to live in that are built to the standards to which they are designed | Patrick Harvie MSP, Scottish Government Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants' Rights | Image credit: Ian Skinner
