Passivhaus Trust welcomes a new team member

We are pleased to welcome our newest Events and Marketing Coordinator to the Passivhaus Trust, Bethany Okogba. Bethany has over 8 years of events and marketing experience, predominantly at an independent music venue in Sheffield. Bethany also has a proven track record for successfully planning and delivering projects and large-scale events across the UK.
Bethany is passionate about climate change mitigation and achieved a 1st in MSc Environmental Management. Her dissertation focused on public awareness of retrofitting, domestic energy efficiency and the associated greenhouse gas emissions within the UK. This research identified public opinion and challenges within the sector.
Bethany is also renovating her own property and creates related online content that aims to encourage others to use low-carbon practices in the home.
Please be sure to say hi & welcome Bethany at an upcoming event!
I am thrilled to start my new role as Events and Marketing Coordinator at the Passivhaus Trust and I am eager to assist the team with a busy and exciting activities calendar. I am passionate about the environment, energy efficiency and building resilient communities. I discovered the Passivhaus and EnerPHit standards while studying for my Environmental Management MSc and searching for better ways to improve the quality of my home while decreasing my environmental impact. I hope that my contribution to the team will have a positive and meaningful impact towards decarbonising the built environment and promoting comfortable high-quality buildings using the Passivhaus Standard in the UK.
