Open City announces events programme for Green Sky Thinking Week 2013
Open-City has announced an early 2013 programme for Green Sky Thinking, its week long series of free sustainability-focused events showcasing innovative and practical solutionsto greening London’s built environment, to be held from the 15th to 19th April. The Passivhaus Trust is one of the Institutional Supporters of Green Sky Thinking this year and is also hosting a talk 'Why choose Passivhaus?' at the Passivhaus certified Mayville Community Centre along with Trust Founders Bere Architects.
Now in its third year, Green Sky Thinking will include over 50 events across London, ranging from onsite project talks, round-table discussions, pecha kuchas and seminars. Driven by practicality and applicability, each event gives an inside view from top experts, industry leaders and collaborative teams.
Building on last year’s theme of ‘Mapping Sustainable London’, Green Sky Thinking 2013 will continue to identify the sustainable initiatives and thinking driving London’s green agenda forward. Mapping not only where sustainable developments are taking place, but moreover how and by whom the projects are being realised.
The three sub-themes are:
• Delivering a Green City - showcases practical and exemplar projects
• Leading a Green City - profiles the people and organizations making significant astep-change
• Connecting a Green City - looks beyond buildings to address full infrastructureintegration

An exploration of Passivhaus in practice through case studies and proven performance results at Mayville Community Centre hosted by Passivhaus Trust and Bere Architects.
• 'Passivhaus and Beyond: Forging a New Architecture and Professionalism'
Architype look at how to achieve Passivhaus from a more holistic view
.•'Saving Carbon + Money = Warmer Homes + Healthier Residents'
