Beattie Passive launch new joint venture with The Norse Group
Trust members Beattie Passive have launched a new joint venture with The Norse Group, a company which works across the UK but is wholly owned by Norfolk County Council. The Norse Group specialises in building and managing schools throughout the country, is also delivering Healthcare and Local Authority housing through its offices country wide.
Beattie Passive Norse is a joint initiative between Beattie Passive Build System Limited and The Norse Group to bring the Passivhaus standard within the reach of everyone, from local authorities to education departments, healthcare providers to private sale residential developers – and even offering a construction lifeline to the unemployed and youngsters in Further Education and apprenticeship schemes.
Mike Britch, Managing Director of The Norse Group, said: "Being able to offer the Passivhaus standard by default at the same cost as traditional build today is a phenomenal achievement. But also helping to eliminate fuel poverty and bring communities together, rejuvenating local businesses, suppliers, the employment market and provide the youngsters of today with transferrable skills is quite simply incredible."
