Architype retain AJ100 Sustainable Practice accolade

Congratulations to PHT Patron Architype, who have won AJ100 Sustainable Practice of the Year for a second consecutive year.

The Jury unanimously awarded Architype Sustainable Practice of the year, stating that the team is continuously proving that there is a business case for greener buildings in a range of sectors.

The profession should listen up because Architype is disrupting business as usual’ and delivering highly sustainable buildings – easily two or three years ahead of other leading firms.

Architype carry out performance monitoring on all of their schemes and have ambitious aspirations to guarantee the performance of its buildings by 2020. The practice dedicates an annual budget to research, which has allowed them to demonstrate year-on-year improvement of building performance through detailed analysis. Some of their monitoring data on their Passivhaus schools was presented at the 2015 UK Passivhaus Awards as part of a special feature – reflecting on the performance of pioneering Passivhaus winners five years on.
