Research and Policy Associate/ Director
We're looking for a Research and Policy Associate/ Director to join our team! The role includes managing technical working groups; analysis & response to policy papers; developing technical/ policy contacts, and assisting with PHT events & activities.
What the role includes
- Planning, development and fundraising of research & guidance projects
- Making technical presentations and writing articles/ news items
- Collaboration with universities and Passivhaus practitioners on latest research topics
- Analysis of policy papers and preparation of draft responses
- Attendance and presentations at relevant policy events
- Liaison with members and other technical or policy contacts
- Assisting with events, seminars, conferences and campaigns
The Associate Director role would also include
- Developing PHT policy positions and strategy
- Managing other PHT staff and work programmes
- Working with the CEO on PHT development strategies.
- Representing PHT at public and policy events in lieu of the CEO
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player/leader with initiative, with an interest in and understanding of Passivhaus. You will have:
- minimum qualifications of a relevant degree
- good technical knowledge and excellent writing skills
- strong communication and presentation skills
- experience of research project management and development
- knowledge of low energy building policies

Contract
This role is on a free-lance, part-time, flexible basis (approximately 2/3 days per week) initially for a 12-month period beginning in May/ June 2018.
