2022 UK Passivhaus Conference

Spotlight on Exeter

PHT Patron Exeter City Council has undertaken an array of pioneering Passivhaus projects for over a decade; the region has become a hotbed of certified developments. We hear about net zero Council ambitions and plans to deliver 1,000 Passivhaus homes over the next five years. From planning, partnerships, & procurement, learn how the area has been implementing and improving its Passivhaus business case. As well as social housing, commercial projects such as the St Sidwell’s Point leisure centre and Exeter University student accommodation are advancing.

Keynote case studies

This year the Trust has uncovered some exciting large-scale developments, with many 100+ home schemes built by local authorities. Hear about a 900+ home masterplan in the London Borough of Hounslow from Bell Phillips Architects, who are also working with several other councils. As well as a deep dive masterclass & site visits to St Sidwell’s Point, we shall also be exploring Edinburgh's EnerPHit-inspired estate-wide retrofit strategy.

What not to miss

Soaring fuel bills and rising inflation have brought energy bills and construction costs to the headlines. Do not miss our panel debating whether the financial investment in Passivhaus still stacks up, how to cope with cost price inflation, and ensuring a cost-effective Passivhaus design.

We will share a teaser of the NEW Passivhaus overlay to the RIBA Plan of Works, and you can get your burning PHPP10 questions answered.

Finally, we look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible, old & new, to some face-to-face networking opportunities.
