Every year, the RIBA Regional Awards brings together architects from across the UK to celebrate the best of the best in construction. Entries span across a variety of project sectors and are judged and presented locally, region by region.

As a rigorous and robust Standard for high-performance buildings, Passivhaus provides a reliable route to meeting climate targets in construction. With climate-forward schemes high on the judge's agenda, a diverse selection of Passivhaus projects have been shortlisted across different regions, recognising exemplary architecture needn't compromise people or the planet. We are pleased to announce Passivhaus projects shortlisted this year below.

The jury discussions were focused on assessing how environmentally and socially consciousness the projects were – and particularly how they have and will positively shape the communities they are in.
